In March 2023, NMás Durango TV joined us in Cuencame to do a follow-up story on the D4D Durango mission. One of the patients had rarely been out of bed for a number of years. Leonardo was an athlete and liked to be an example for young people. However, he began to gain weight and today he struggles to lead a more normal life.
Because of the bariatric wheelchair, patient lift and therapy provided by D4D, he has regained his freedom and able to leave his home again.
